DesignIntelligence's America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools 2012 presents a definitive analysis of architecture and design programs across the United States. According to a recent article in Architectural Record, The Cooper Union is featured among the top B.Arch programs. Sixty deans and chairs of architecture departments responded to a survey about which undergraduate programs they considered the best. The Cooper Union ranked in the top 5, ahead of Syracuse University and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.
