There is no such thing as a typical Cooper student. Those who come here thrive on the intellectual excitement of encountering diverse interests, backgrounds, and perspectives. Yet all Cooper students, whether they’re studying architecture, art, or engineering, are supported by a collaborative and engaged community of learning, connected to the life of New York City.
We seek inquisitive, motivated individuals who desire to put their ideas to work making an impact on society. As an all-honors private college with a historic mission of fair access to education, The Cooper Union awards a half-tuition scholarship to every admitted undergraduate student.
All applicants are evaluated holistically, though specific admissions and credit requirements vary for each of the three professional schools. Click on the programs below to learn more.
