A Los Angeles-based artist, Taylor discusses his recent work. Populated with African American subjects, his paintings display a fluid exchange between history and the present, the personal and popular culture, activating multiple emotional and psychological levels.

Talks are free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior.

The Spring 2014 Interdisciplinary Seminar is part of the Robert Lehman Visiting Artist Program at The Cooper Union.  We are grateful for major funding support from the Robert Lehman Foundation.
