2020-2021 Intersectional Justice Lectures
As part of the Fall 2020 new student orientation, the Office of Student Affairs and Associate Dean of HSS Nada Ayad co-organized an on-going lecture series around the theme of intersectional justice. Open to the whole Cooper community, and taking place once a month, each lecture features a scholar from across disciplines – the humanities, the arts, and the sciences – showcasing their work, and its engagement with issues of justice.
In the spirit of The Cooper Union mission, the Black Student Union, the Cooper Climate Coalition, along with several other Cooper students and faculty, were deeply involved in the articulation of the program as well as in contributing to the reading list and suggesting speakers.
