In the Summer Art Intensive Graphic Design course, students approached design as an art medium and a form of visual communication. They utilized drawing, photo collage and typography to convey critical thinking and profound concepts. Even under the circumstances of our current reality, these artists continued to push themselves each class — creating thoughtful work that is reflective of their distinct voices. They also established a positive and generous community in the class, providing constructive and encouraging feedback to each other. I am so impressed by each student’s resilience, curiosity, independence and talent.
