[CUSAI 2020] Digital Photography
Throughout the course of the Cooper Union Summer Art Intensive, students in Digital Photography approached their camera as a tool for excavating, responding to, and questioning the present historical moment. The diverse body of work produced spans self-portraiture, reflections of life during quarantine, appropriated images, images recontextualized through language, and momentary fragments that shed light on the unprecedented conditions we are living amidst. The artists in this class are curious, scrappy, bright, generous, and thoughtful, as evidenced by these profound, unexpected, and complex pictures.
