Civil Engineering Students Receive 2024 Moles Scholarship

Senior civil engineering students, Georgios Stathopoulos and Matviy Zhachek, were both awarded a scholarship from The Moles Charitable Fund, Inc. 

The Moles’ scholarship funds are presented annually to academically qualified and deserving students at participating colleges and universities. Recipients are selected by the Dean and faculty representative from their respective Engineering School. The Cooper Union’s faculty representative is Cosmas Tzavelis, Professor and George Fox Chair of Civil Engineering.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.
