Course Blocks

RPIE offers technical courses designed to support participants in developing new skills, strengthening previous expertise, and preparing for certification exams. RPIE’s market analysis identifies top hard and soft skills in job postings, and our course offerings reflect those demands. Participants select a course block that supports their intended field of employment and enroll in courses offered within that track.

The Built Environment: Structures & Buildings: This course block is designed for participants interested in career paths related to civil engineering and architecture. Past courses have included AISC Structural Steel Design, ACI Structural Concrete Design, AutoCAD and Revit, Building Cost Estimating & Bridge, Highway, Railroad Engineering, and OSHA 30 for Construction.

Environmental Engineering & Sustainability: This course block is designed for participants interested in career paths related to architecture, civil engineering, chemical engineers, and statisticians. Past courses have included Data Architecture Principles, Data Structure and SQL, Green Building Guidelines, Environmental Safety, and Python.

Operations Infrastructure & Transportation: This course block is designed for participants interested in career paths related to civil engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, structural engineers, and systems engineers. Past courses have included Building Operation, Maintenance, & Safety Regulations, Building Cost Estimating & Bridge, Highway, Railroad Engineering, and Python. 

Data Infrastructure & Security: This course block is designed for participants interested in career paths related to electrical engineers, computer science programmers, mathematicians and statisticians. Past courses have included C# Programming, Cyber Security, Data Architecture Principles, Data Structure and SQL, Java Programming, Linux (Unix) Administration, Python Saturday and Software Quality Assurance–Manual and Automated Testing.
