FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

7:00 pm- 8:30 pm: 2025 Benjamin Menschel Distinguished Lecture, Annabelle Selldorf in conversation with Professor Nader Tehrani. Reunion attendees may register for reserved seating here.

•    Mechanic to Millionaire: The Peter Cooper Story documentary, directed by Janet Gardner A’65, showing in the Library

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Special program "Cooper Places" with Archives Librarian Mary Mann and Professor Emeritus Peter Buckley, Room 104, 41 Cooper Square

5:30 pm - 8:30 pm: All Cooper Reunion Party, Chrysler Building, 405 Lexington Avenue

Experience one of New York’s Art Deco treasures with a special Cooper Union connection. In addition to a cocktail reception, guests can join guided tours of the building—including seeing the famed eagle gargoyles up close! Building tours will be held throughout the evening, with signups on a first-come, first-served basis. Convenient to Grand Central Terminal at 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue. Must be 21+ to attend the evening party.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • “My feelings, my desires, my hopes, embrace humanity throughout the world,” Peter Cooper proclaimed in a speech in 1853. He looked forward to a time when, “knowledge shall cover the earth as waters cover the great deep.”

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
