AISC Structural Steel Design
This course assumes a background in structural steel design. The purpose of the course is to cover American methodologies and code, specifically as promulgated by the AISC.
Key issues discussed include:
- Properties of structural steel
- Design loads on structures; load combinations
- Design of steel tension members, columns, and beams
- Design of bolted and welded connections
