Michael Cheifetz ME'65

Michael Cheifetz passed away on February 21, 2026. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Rochester after graduating from Cooper. He built a long and respected career, mostly at a private engineering firm. In retirement, Michael gave back to his community by volunteering at the local food pantry. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda; his sons, Adam, Andrew, and Peter; and his four cherished grandchildren. Read more about Michael's life here.
