COVID-19 Policy

This event requires attendees to follow the COVID-19 policy of the venue:

"Leewood Golf Club has followed the direction of New York State with respect to COVID-19 restrictions and setting our Club policy. Our policy is that fully vaccinated members and guests are not required to wear a mask in any outdoor or indoor setting, including the clubhouse and dining areas. CDC considers full vaccination reached two (2) weeks after the final dose of the vaccine. Safety remains our prime concern for all members, guests and staff. Social distancing still applies unless everyone in a group or setting has been fully vaccinated. Non-vaccinated members and guests are required to wear masks while indoors at Leewood. This applies to the clubhouse, locker rooms, dining areas, gym, and golf simulator room. This will help us to maintain a safe environment at Leewood for members, guests and our staff as well as stay within compliance of state guidelines."

*The golf outing has supported Cooper Athletics in prior years. Athletics are extremely limited this Fall because of Cooper’s renewed indoor mask mandate, and the school is currently putting on hold any athletic programs that hold indoor practices or games. In light of this, the donation portion of this year's ticket price will go towards Cooper scholarships. In the future, we hope to once again direct the donation towards the Athletics program.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • “My feelings, my desires, my hopes, embrace humanity throughout the world,” Peter Cooper proclaimed in a speech in 1853. He looked forward to a time when, “knowledge shall cover the earth as waters cover the great deep.”

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
