During Climate Week 2024, the Benjamin Menschel Civic Projects Lab (CPL) will host a pop-up exhibit in the Jacques & Natasha Gelman Exhibition Foyer showcasing selected world-class South African architecture projects that were entered into the 2023-2024 Corobrik SAIA Award of Merit and for Excellence in partnership with Coverland.  

In conjunction with the exhibition, Kimberly Dowdell, 2024 president of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and Mokena Makeka, director of the CPL and 2023-2024 president of the South African Institute of Architects (SAIA), will be in a conversation on September 25, 2024 at 1 pm that explores the state of architecture, climate action, and contemporary urbanism in the United States and beyond.

"Cross-Boundaries" is presented in partnership by the CPL, The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, and the Gelman Exhibition Foyer and is supported by the South African Institute of Architects, and its sponsors, Corobrik and Coverland.

Wednesday–Friday, 12pm – 7pm

 

This exhibition is free and open to the public.

Located at 41 Cooper Square, on Third Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets.
