Journalist, author, and host Kara Swisher takes her podcast, On with Kara Swisher, to The Cooper Union’s Great Hall stage for one night only. Catch her live interview with Josh Johnson, correspondent for The Daily Show and, according to WIRED, ”the funniest guy on the internet.” The pair will tackle the latest news in tech, politics, and business with searing wit and sharp insight. The On with Kara Swisher taping is free and open to the public.

Kara Swisher, whose early and no-holds-barred coverage of the technology industry earned her a reputation as “Silicon Valley’s most feared but revered journalist,” is considered the top reporter in the tech game. Currently, she is host of On with Kara Swisher and co-host of the Pivot podcast, as well as editor-at-large of New York Magazine and a CNN contributor. She was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s list of “Podcast Power Players” in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and to the 2023 Out 100, and she received the “Pioneer Icon” award at the 2023 iHeart Podcast Awards. Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian, actor, and NAACP award-winner Josh Johnson is currently a correspondent on Comedy Central’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning program The Daily Show where he was previously a writer for the past seven years. Johnson is also a former writer and performer on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he made his late-night debut in 2017. Johnson’s most recent stand-up special, Josh Johnson: Up Here Killing Myself, premiered on Peacock in 2023 to rave reviews, touting Johnson as a “naturally gifted story teller”. A prolific writer and performer, Johnson puts out weekly stand-up sets on his YouTube channel.
