Kathleen Chalfant at Commencement 2010

On May 25, 2010, the actor Kathleen Chalfant delivered the keynote address to the graduating class of 2010, marking the Cooper Union's 151st commencement ceremony. Kathleen Chalfant is one of theater's most celebrated living performers, and has won Obie and Drama Desk awards in recognition of her achievements.

Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.
