Irwin Rubin A'52

The Buffalo AKG Art Museum acquired three painted wood constructions by Irwin Rubin which are undergoing conservation treatment. In Hidden in Color: Treatment and Scientific Analysis of a 1960s Painted Wood Construction by Irwin Rubin, Conservation Technician Victoria Kitirattragarn details the research and treatment methodologies she’s devoted to Rubin’s artwork.

Esteban Cabeza de Baca A'10

Esteban Cabeza de Baca A’10 is presenting a solo exhibition at MoMA PS1 until spring 2027. His art is currently displayed in the Hammer Museum at UCLA and the Buffalo AKG Art Museum and will be featured at MCA Denver starting July 24.

Catherine Eng A'91

Catherine Eng A'91 was recently awarded a patent in the XR technology space.  Eng is a founder of OurWorlds, an XR company that  brings Indigenous stories, culture, and history to life using a pioneering Extended Reality (XR360™) platform. The new patented technology makes it possible to create immersive 360º environments with holograms and AR overlays—directly from your smartphone or in a desktop webapp.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.
