Everyone will continue to be required to wear masks, maintain social distancing and regularly wash your hands. If you feel sick, please stay home until your symptoms have subsided. Besides a very aggressive COVID-19 virus, this is also flu season so please err on the side of caution before coming to campus regardless of your symptoms.

We continue to communicate with the Department of Health for the City and the State both in terms of their guidance as it relates to keeping everyone safe and with regards to the opportunity to participate in vaccine distribution when it is available to members of our community.

We are excited for the Spring Semester to begin. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe and healthy.

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
