Enhanced Medical and Retirement Plan Benefits
To help you manage your physical, mental, and financial wellness needs during this uncertain time, several of our benefits providers have introduced plan enhancements as part of their response to COVID-19. Telehealth services are now covered: If your healthcare provider offers telehealth services, Trustmark will now cover these visits at no cost. Log into the Trustmark site:https://www.trustmarkbenefits.com/Health-Benefits
NEW Live Health Online program: If you are looking for a physician who offers online visits, Trustmark has partnered with a service called Live Health Online (LHO). It offers both telehealth medical and behavioral health services.
- Medical visits will require a $59 payment up front but will be reimbursed at 100%.
- Behavioral health visits will range in cost from $80 - $195, depending on the type of therapist you choose. Behavioral Health online visits will be covered at 80% per the plan.
To sign up for Live Health Online: A mobile app for LHO is available for download from the Apple Store or Google Play. You can also access them at www.livehealthonline.com.
Online claim submission: Once you log into the Trustmark portal, you can upload and submit a scan or digital photo of a claim by choosing “Messages” and selecting “Claim Status” as your topic. Free Mental Health services for all Cooper Union employees: The Higher Ed EAP offers free mental health, legal, and financial services: Just log onto www.theEAP.com/Higher-Education-EAP. If you have never registered with the Employee Assistance Program, it is very easy to do. In addition to its regular list of services, the EAP has recently introduced a Coronavirus-focused resource center featuring helpful links, tools, and resources in both English and Spanish. If you need help logging in or wish to speak with a counselor, you can call them at 800-252-4555.
Free Mental Health Counseling for all New York state residents: New Yorkers can call the COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline at 1-844-863-9314 for mental health counseling
For participants in the Cooper Union Retirement/403B plan: As a result of the newly-passed CARES Act, TIAA has increased loan limits to $100,000 or 100% of the balance, and any loan repayment due between March 27 and December 31, 2020 can be delayed for one year. Coronavirus distributions of up to $100,000 may be available. To access your account online, please go to https://www.tiaa.org.
