IT: Blackberry Protect

Introducing Blackberry Protect (formerly Cylance Protect) 

The Cooper Union is pleased to announce a major step forward in our digital security, antivirus, and anti-malware protection.  IT requires all Cooper-owned computers to have BlackBerry Protect installed. 

Why BlackBerry Protect? 

Blackberry uses AI Driven Threat Protection, which works where most attacks occur - at the endpoint - for better efficacy, faster resolution, and less disruption. 

How will this effect you?

If you don’t have BlackBerry Protect installed on your work computer (or aren’t sure) please contact: itsupport@cooper.edu

For Windows users: IT will coordinate with your department for installation details. BlackBerry runs in the background to protect your data while you work. 

For Mac users: BlackBerry replaces Sophos for those using Apple computers. IT will coordinate with your department for installation details. Blackberry runs in the background to protect your data while you work.
