Cooper Students Selected to Receive ACEC New York Award Scholarship

Rising civil engineering seniors, Jenna Manfredi and Gila Rosenzweig received scholarships from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York. 

Over the course of its inception in 2002, ACEC New York's Scholarship Program has made a significant impact by awarding over 400 scholarships and other donations, amounting to a remarkable sum of more than 1.2 million dollars. This program was established with the objective of providing support to aspiring engineers, ensuring a robust and promising future for the profession throughout New York State.

Jenna Manfredi CE’24 received the STV Scholarship and Gila Rosenzweig CE’24 received the CHI Consulting Engineers.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
