We are pleased to expand All Cooper Weekend to include parents and families of current students. Programming on Friday, September 18, will be specifically tailored to this group, but you are welcome to join us for the full weekend!

Join the Host Committee

The Cooper Union invites parents and families who are enthusiastic and supportive of the school community to serve as Parent and Family Chairs. Chairs are requested to support the event in the following ways:

•    Commit a one-time gift or as a pledge to be paid over five years
•    Promote Parent and Family Weekend to other parents and families

In return, the Cooper Union will offer the following benefits to Chairs:

•    Recognition in Parent and Family Weekend promotional materials
•    2 tickets to all Reunion activities, including the Saturday evening party

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
