Cooper Communications

Q: I was told I need a Cooper Union email. How do I get that?
A: After you set up your Cooper Account, you will have access to Outlook email. Once enrolled, some communications from The Cooper Union will be sent to your cooper.edu email address only, so it is very important that you check it on a regular basis. It is also important to regularly check CooperConnect* as the bulk of campus notices are posted there and not emailed to students.

*You will be granted access to the New Student CooperConnect site in early June. At that time, you will be automatically given access. Until that time, access to all of CooperConnect will be denied.

Q: What is CooperConnect?
A: CooperConnect is a collection of internal websites designed to provide quick access to campus news, information, and resources for Cooper Union's faculty, staff, and students. It's the place to find out about campus activities and events, health and safety updates, student care, career development, student jobs and internships, writing center services, and IT resources and support. IMPORTANT: Cooper only emails Urgent Messages, Health & Safety Messages, President's Messages, and select event reminders. To help minimize email volume, all other messages will be available on CooperConnect only, so checking the site daily is a good practice. In addition, a compilation of new CooperConnect posts will be sent every Friday.

Q: Why do I need to log in to Office 365 to get onto CooperConnect?
A: CooperConnect is internal and private to current Cooper faculty, staff, and students. It's an intranet. You will use your Cooper email and password to access your O365 account and CooperConnect. If you have not signed into your Cooper O365 account, please refer to the top of this page. If you have any trouble accessing your Office365 account, please email ITsupport@cooper.edu.

Q: How do I log in to the student portal?
A: Here is a guide to using the student self-service portal.
