General Timeline for Study Abroad

1. December/January:

  • Students submit applications (early applications are welcome, first come first serve)
  • All applications are reviewed and those that qualify are sent to host university

2. January/February:

  • Host universities make decisions and students are informed about acceptance and research faculty contacts

3. Mid-late February:

  • Q&A session including COVID risk analysis for all students who have been selected.

4. March 1:

  • Students make decisions on whether they plan to go.  This should include a note stating the research assignments.
  • Signed COVID waiver submitted

5. March/April:

  • Students make their travel arrangements
  • Register for EID300 credits (processed by Dean's Office

6. August:

  • Students return from their summer abroad 

7. September 11:

  • Technical report and cultural report submission deadline. Papers should be submitted by email to Beth Slack with the Subject: EID 300 submission

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
