Aaron Langham

Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Aaron W. Langham earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2026. His research interests include sensing, signal processing, and machine learning for physical infrastructure. He has worked extensively with the US Coast Guard on nonintrusive power system monitoring for marine microgrids and looks forward to working with students on sensing the rich urban infrastructure of New York. In his spare time, he enjoys walking the city, video games, and tinkering with computer systems.

"I’m extremely excited to join the Cooper Union community this fall! I’ll be teaching EID101 (Engineering Design and Problem Solving) and ECE310 (Digital Signal Processing), and in both, will encourage students to meld modern computation and sensing with models grounded in physics. It is a privilege to be able to share my passion for the engineering and technology that enable modern life as we know it."
