Author Matthew M. Aid provides a sobering report on the state of America’s intel ops from the invisible frontlines of Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere around the world in a discussion of his new book, INTEL WARS: The Secret History of the Fight Against Terrorism, at The Cooper Union.  Aid’s research is based on extensive, on-the-ground interviews, and revelations from Wikileaks cables and other newly declassified documents that show how U.S. soldiers and spies are still fighting to catch up with the enemy.

Aid is a leading intelligence historian and expert on the NSA, and a regular commentator on intelligence matters for the New York Times, the Financial Times, the National Journal, the Associated Press, CBS News, National Public Radio (NPR) and many others.
