Are you new to painting? Have you painted before, but never outside? Or are you a seasoned artist looking for a new challenge? This class will meet each student at his or her starting point with individually tailored attention as we cover basic painting techniques, compositional and material strategies, and conceptual approaches to painting from observation. We will use various sites around New York City, with bold and exciting architectural and landscape elements, as our focus.

Meets Weekly: Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Registration begins May 1st. Students MUST enroll 5 business days prior to the course start date. Early bird promotion: $25 registration fee will be waived if you register before May 11.
