James Colby Chamberlain
Adjunct Assistant Professor
James Colby Chamberlain graduated with a Ph.D in art history from Columbia University in 2016. He is a Lecturer in Discipline in Modern Art and Theory at Columbia University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Cooper Union. His scholarship and criticism focuses on intersections of art and other fields of professional practice, in particular the law. The recipient of a Jacob K. Javits Fellowship, a Helena Rubinstein Fellowship at the Whitney Independent Study Program, and the College Art Association Art Journal Award, he contributes to publications including Art in America, Artforum, Cabinet, Parkett, and Triple Canopy.
