How to Apply

To apply for financial aid you must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), School Code #002710. When processed, this form will produce an Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which determines your eligibility for financial aid.

If you are a first time applicant to The Cooper Union and would like to be considered for Cooper Union Grants or Cooper Union Loans, you must also complete a CSS Profile Form, School Code #2097.

You may complete these forms on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov and www.collegeboard.com.

It is important that you file these forms as soon after January 1st possible.

The deadline for new students is May 1.

This means that all processed, accurate forms and documents must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by this date.
