Engineering Tour Calendar

The Office of Admissions is open Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00 pm. The office is closed on federal holidays and weekends.

Following our school calendar, engineering tours are offered in the FALL semester from late September- November, the SPRING semester from February-April and the SUMMER starting in June. Please keep this in mind as your plan your visit.

We encourage you to attend our Engineering Preview Day on Thursday, October 30th. Registration is open now!

View tour dates and times and register for a tour here.

All tours begin with a brief overview of Cooper followed by a student-guided tour which lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. You are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email from us. If you need to cancel a tour reservation, please call us at 212.353.4120 or email us at admissions@cooper.edu.

If you are interested in setting up a group tour for students with an interest in Engineering, please email Abby Davis at adavis@cooper.edu

We look forward to meeting you!

If you cannot visit, check out these clips from last summer's Invention Factory to see the kind of projects Cooper Union students are involved in, blending technology, design and innovation:

If you have additional questions about Cooper Union, please email admissions@cooper.edu

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • “My feelings, my desires, my hopes, embrace humanity throughout the world,” Peter Cooper proclaimed in a speech in 1853. He looked forward to a time when, “knowledge shall cover the earth as waters cover the great deep.”

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
