Admissions Process

EARLY DECISION:
STEP 1Submit the first part of your application online by December 1, 2014.
STEP 2You will receive a confirmation email with a link to a set of short answer essay questions (Part II Questionnaire) that you must complete and return by Friday, December 5th, 2014.
STEP 3
You will have to prepare and submit via the Common Application by December 1, 2014:
  • Your official high school transcript or GED certificate (required for all applicants)
  • Any official college transcripts (sent directly from the college or university)
  • Recommendation letters (recommended: 2-3 letters in any format)

You will submit directly from the College Board and/or ACT to be received by December 5, 2014:

  • Your SAT I or ACT scores 
  • Two SAT II scores: one in Math (either 1 or 2) and one in either Physics or Chemistry.
Send all materials to the Office of Admissions, 30 Cooper Square, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10003.
STEP 4You will receive an admission decision at the end of December.
STEP 5Candidate reply date is January 21, 2015.

 

REGULAR DECISION:
STEP 1Submit the first part of your application online by January 12, 2015.
STEP 2You will receive a confirmation email with a link to a set of short answer essay questions (Part II Questionnaire) that you must complete and return by January 19, 2015.
STEP 3
You will have to prepare and submit via the Common Application by January 12, 2015:
  • Your official high school transcript or GED certificate (required for all applicants)
  • Any official college transcripts (sent directly from the college or university)
  • Recommendation letters (recommended: 2-3 letters in any format)

You will submit directly from the College Board and/or ACT to be received by March 1, 2015:

  • Your SAT I or ACT scores 
  • Two SAT II scores: one in Math (either 1 or 2) and one in either Physics or Chemistry.
Send all materials to the Office of Admissions, 30 Cooper Square, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10003.
STEP 4You will receive an admission decision during the first week of April.
*Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not graduated from a secondary school in a country with English as the official medium of instruction are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit official scores to the Office of Admissions.
