Admissions Process

EARLY DECISION:
STEP 1Submit the first part of your application online by December 3, 2012.
STEP 2You will receive a confirmation email.
STEP 3You will receive a set of short answer essay questions by email which you must complete and return by December 7, 2012.
STEP 4You will have to prepare and submit by December 7, 2012:
  • Your official high school transcript or GED certificate (required for all applicants)
  • Any official college transcripts (sent directly from the college or university)
  • Your SAT I or ACT scores (must be sent directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)*
  • Two SAT II scores: one in Math (either 1 or 2) and one in either Physics or Chemistry.
  • Recommendation letters (recommended: 2-3 letters in any format)
Send all materials to the Office of Admissions 30 Cooper Square, 3rd Floor New York, NY 10003.
STEP 5You will receive an admission decision at the end of December.

 

REGULAR DECISION:

STEP 2You will receive a confirmation email.
STEP 3You will receive a set of short answer essay questions by email which you must complete and return by February 8, 2013.
STEP 4You will have to prepare and submit by February 8, 2013:
  • Your official high school transcript or GED certificate (required for all applicants)
  • Any official college transcripts (sent directly from the college or university)
  • Your SAT or ACT scores (directly from the Collegeboard or ACT)*
  • Two SAT II scores: one in Math (either 1 or 2) and one in either Physics or Chemistry.

STEP 5You will receive an admission decision during the first week of April.
*Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not graduated from a secondary school in a country with English as the official medium of instruction are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit official scores to the Office of Admissions.
