PAGE Funds

Alumni and other friends of the College are encouraged to establish Perpetual Annual Giving Endowment (PAGE) Funds, permanent named funds in their own names or in honor of or memory of loved ones or affiliated organizations.  With initial gifts of $15,000, each fund’s earnings are credited yearly to the Annual Fund, providing vital operating revenue.

The Cooper Union supporters often establish PAGE funds in honor or in memory of an alumnus/a of Cooper Union who greatly benefited from their Cooper Union education.  After Stephen J. Milioti, ME ’61 passed away, his sons, Stephen and John, established a Page Fund.  After hearing about the PAGE Fund program, Stephen told the College that he felt “excited about contributing to Cooper Union,” and that it was “one of the few bright spots” during a difficult time.   He reached out to friends and family requesting that they contribute to this fund in memory of his father.

To discuss your interest in a perpetual Annual Gift, please contact Jeanne Lunin, Director of Development, at (212) 353-4107 or jlunin@cooper.edu.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • “My feelings, my desires, my hopes, embrace humanity throughout the world,” Peter Cooper proclaimed in a speech in 1853. He looked forward to a time when, “knowledge shall cover the earth as waters cover the great deep.”

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
