Ali Madad

Ali Madad is a designer, writer, educator, hierophant and principal in NYC and LA based SCTY, a multi-disciplinary art and design practice dedicated to the manifestation of creative disruptions. His work focuses on the both the theoretical and public role design plays within culture and public space. Ali was the first graduate in, the then nascent, New Media Design program at Rochester Institute of Technology and subsequently earned his MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art.

Ali has been a Visiting Professor in Communication Design at Pratt Institute, for the past five years, and is a Visiting Artist at Cooper Union in Fall of 2009. He writes, lectures and holds workshops on design and design education internationally.
